In looking at my Wilson references I see that Colt's Baltimore gunsmith John Pearson, made a large 4# 4oz .53 cal Paterson-like revolving pistol prototype in 1835 to garner interest by the military, prior to the production of the Paterson series.

To Texas Man, Armybrat and any other Central Texican pards:
How about lets get together one weekend to shoot our replica Colt Paterson and Whitneyville Walker wheelguns.
A central location would be either Llano or Brady.....
