Basic stuff. I make pattern from brown paper grocery sack, cut leather with a Buck pocket knife, wet mold to the revolver or knife. drill holes and hand sew with 2 needles, polish with a piece of brown paper for the sheen. Got lucky with the holster, it fits Colt SM38 and the S&W model 22.

Its clever how you have made usable holsters in a manner similar to the ways of the past.
