I am trying to figure out what a 1987, DE11xxx SN first year produced Delta Elite is worth, in really nice condition, except that the frame is blued as it would be in 87, but the slide is stainless. I assume that Colt replaced it when they were having the issues of the early DE's cracking slides, from high pressure rounds. Th slide appears from the roll marks, and the cocking serrations, to be 3rd or 4th year. Does anyone have any idea what this thing would be worth? Do blued DE slides ever come around? Probably not.

It is a shooter, nothing more. What is the value of a shooter to you? Considering you can still get decent examples of early DE pistols around the 1k mark I see no reason to buy a mixmaster unless it is extremely cheap. Not really sure why you would want to buy someone elses problem pistol but to each their own.

I just sent you the email address of a guy who has an extremely nice one in the box. He wants 1125 shipped for it but it is pretty mint with no excuses or stories
