Prices are all over the place on this little gun. Check the auction sites to get an idea what people are willing to pay and what some dreamers are hoping to get.

I bought one about 6 months ago, NIB for $375 OTD. I am beginning to think I may have got a good deal.

I've bee looking for one and even the well worn ones are going for plenty. I'm guessing $400 - $800. I acquired a complete slide with barrel in what appears to be unfired condition and have been looking for a frame or heavily worn copy to use with it. So far, the prices I've see are too high for my purposes.

Interesting. I have a gov 380 that the barrel is soft so the lugs are peening up. I need to pick up a slide and barrel.....

Hint, hint...

If you are bored holding onto the slide and barrel, email me...

I would say it is an excellent price. I paid $400 for my stainless one used, excellent condition and one extra mag but no box. I sent mine back to Colt to be checked out and have the lugs looked at as they were very slightly peened, and it came back with a clean bill of health and the barrel lugs cleaned up.
I have put a Wolff spring kit in mine and put on a set of double diamond checkered rosewood grips and I just replaced the blued grip screws with stainless slotted ones from Woodgrips ( had to shorten them as they were for a 1911 ) to better match the rest of the pistol. I also replaced the slide stop spring with a new one as it would sometimes lock the slide back on a partial magazine and, I believe, the stop would engage during recoil due to inertia and a weak slide stop spring. The new one was stiffer and the stop would no longer lock back on an empty magazine with two of my magazines. Wolf 5% extra power magazines cured that and now everything is working as it should.
I doubt that your pistol, being new, will give you any trouble though. Mine was a local sherrif's BUG and had been carried much and practiced with a lot.
