Can anyone advise me as to where I can find an authentic wedge for an 1860 Army? Ideally I would like to find one with an "87" serial number on it.

As I'm sure you know, Original Percussion wedges were Serialed Numbered to the Individual gun. To find an original wedge with an "87" would be quite a challange.

Your chance of finding an original wedge with "87" on it are about the same as hitting the lottery...three times in a row.
In other words, it's not going to happen.

For an original wedge, even that will be difficult because most parts houses won't have original parts, and will send a modern replica unless you're VERY explicit about what you want.
Some possible sources:

Colt 1860 Army

Also, you might try Dixie Gun Works. They often have original parts.
Make sure you really talk to any potential suppliers to avoid any misunderstandings about the part being an original.
