I want to tell all my Colt Forum friends a short story.
Recently I put out a "Want To Buy" ad looking for a new or used Colt Diamondback barrel. Last night I got a reply from forum member "chaosrob" telling me he knew where one could be found. To make a long story short Robert went to his local Gun Shop today, purchased the barrel on my behalf, and he will be mailing the parcel to me on Monday. All this without being paid up front ! Talk about trust.
I really think Colt Forum members are a rare breed and I am truly thankful that I found this site many years ago. I am proud to call all of you my good friends.

I've heard good things about choasrob as a lot of forum members. Lets test him again LOL. Rob I'm looking for Boa 1/2 in the case for under 10k,let me know when you find them. Amen to all that has been said. This is one of a very few forums that I feel comfortable dealing with the members with when. It has been a tremendous help in advancing my Colt knowledge and collecting.

Here is another great forum story from my experience yesterday....As many may have read I have been in search of a 1955 DS for quite some time. Yesterday my search happily ended through the help of Grumpy (Jim). He posted to my thread that he saw one in San Antonio and gave me the name of the Gun Store and contact info. I'm in AZ and contacted the store. Sure as can be they sent numerous photos and I forwarded the photos to Elliot and Malysh for comment. Those two are my "go to" Detective Specialist and provided the straight talk and comfort I needed to finalize the purchase. The DS should arrive by end of week. Thanks to those three forum individuals my quest has been accomplished.
