Recent times have shown a shortage or price gouging on guns, ammo and magazines. Your favorite LGS or online vendor has fallen victim to price gouging on one of your most needed items. The vendor still has other well priced items you use and the customer service is good but you are emotionally upset. How dare they do this!

I have no idea where ammo prices should be so I will defer those remarks to people who know better. What I have noticed is that the online purveyors of ammo that don't screw the public are always out of stock. Is it because they don't get enough stock from the manufacturers or are we still buying what we can out of fear or that some of us are still willing to pay the prices that others charge?

I went to Bass Pro Shops the other day to buy .22lr. They have a 2box max on ammo. Another man saw that I had the last two boxes and lamented how if he only had got there sooner. I gave him one of the boxes and will never forget the smile on his face.

The only people getting rich are the unscrupulous people that buy up all of the available ammo and then resell on the black market of "who's willing to pay". Personally I get quite bored after shooting for 2-3hrs.I have four firearms of different calibers. I'm lucky if I average 75rds per firearm when I shoot and that's sharing my guns with a friend. To me it's a competitive sport but not an addiction.

While I envy the people that do their own reloads I have no interest in doing it myself. As a newbie to shooting I have spent the going price for ammo and currently have about 1000 rds for each firearm I own. I consider that to be my limit.

To get back to the topic of this post all I can say is I have several vendors that I shop at due to their vast selection. I wont stop shopping at any of them because of a high price on any one item.
