What does \"Enhanced\" mean?

What does "Enhanced" mean in a series 80 govt. model discription?

The enhancements were: "combat" style hammer, beavertail grip safety, flat rib top, a relief cut under the trigger guard and angled slide serrations.

Yes, these enhancements were applied to Commanders. I don't think they command any premium though.

Bowhunter, yes indeed, you have an enhanced Commander; nice piece.

Flusher, I thought plastic triggers appeared before enhancements /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif , otherwise I stand corrected.

So, does this mean the "enhanced" models had a plastic trigger, AND a plastic mainspring housing?? Damn!

I also thought Colt took care of the roll pin in the rear sights, and changed to a solid bushing from the Collet style (Gold Cup models)?

Wow! And I thought these were almost forgotten! I see this term, "Enhanced" used on several Colt 1911's anymore! Here's mine after some slick enhancements of my own!
