I believe it is a broken lance, the cross piece on the horse's front legs are the section where the knight held it under his arm during the charge. Just my take on it.

No, the question was "What are those things?" The question was answered by stating those "things" are the two parts of one broken lance. The link provided by A1A gives more detailed information about the Rampant Colt logo, and touches somewhat on the "...what does it mean..." issue.

It's NOT a spear,it's definently a broken lance,if you'll look @ the piece between his legs you'll see the handle for the hand to hold the lance in the proper position,as far as what it means I have no idea.

The image presented is a "rework" of the Colt Rampant Pony, similar but different from the real Colt versions that have two spears with spear points. Check it out on your Colt guns, Colt publications, etc. Here are a few:
