Colt history letter says it was one of 300 shipped to the Marine Corps in Philadelphia in November 1909. It has an excellent professional refinish job. Except for a couple scratches, the finish looks almost perfect, although I am guessing it was refinished decades ago. The wooden grips were replaced with black hard rubber grips that appear to be genuine Colt. Bore is very good with no signs that it was ever fired with corrosive ammo. It generally shoots well, except it occasionally binds up on cocking; I suspect some of the moving parts are sufficiently worn that they don't quite fit together perfectly anymore. Thoughts on its value?
