What's the going rate for Gen III walnut Python grips?

I ass-u-me the most recent stocks are the least expensive? Correct me if I'm wrong. Is there a more recent generation than the Gen III?

Thanks for your patience with a Python noob, as always.

Python Elite stocks are the least costly-around $75.00
The current market value on the Gen IIIs seems to be between $250-$350 depending on Color and Condition. I have seen a few sets break $500 when more than one guy REALLY wants them.

The Gen IIs while they are older and you would think more valuable don't seem to sell for as much. The Going rate is probably more like $175-$250 on them

The Elite Grips are Readily available as Saemetric mentioned for around that $75 mark.

For some reason I find them to be the least attractive of the different types of Python stocks. Perhaps others feel the same way.

An aside: Non-Python / silver medallion Type II stocks seem to be more difficult to find.

Many thanks.
Can someone post a pic of the different generations? I assume Gen I are the original type with full checkering? Gen III have the square panel that's raised above the level the main grip profile, correct?
excellent site, thanks!
I think the site referenced by tburn might be a few years off on the start/end dates of type II. Check this thread out for good info on Python stocks.
