Colt Single Action chambered in 45 Colt that was shipped to Walter Tips in Austin, Texas in 1896.

I'm currently trying to add another, but earlier, Texas shipped Colt to the stable.

Got a new camera -- now, if I could only get some photograhy skills!

Top -- Army Special (1916) with later (1950's?) OP barrel
Bottom -- Police Positive Special (1976)

My latest - traded another member for it (thanks Cam!) - New Service with a 4 1/2 inch barrel in 38 wcf to match my Rem slide-action carbine in the same caliber.

I also posted this in the New Service photos thread so if you've seen it before I apologize.

John

Hopefully my latest Colt will be one I'll find at the Denver show this coming weekend! :)

UPDATE:

Well, the Denver show was good for me and I bought this Colt Single Action chambered in 41 Colt. It has a mint bore and examining the chambers with a high intensity light I only see 2 that look like they’ve been fired. There’s barely a nick on the firing pin, no marks on the recoil shield, and only a faint turn ring on the cylinder. It is truly almost unused. It was probably stored without a coating of oil, so the Case Colors have faded on the exposed flat surfaces, but the recessed and protected areas are heavy and bright. It was shipped to Simmons Hardware in St. Louis, MO on October 23, 1901 in the configuration pictured.

Nice Trooper!
Bob
Thanks Bob! I bought it for my wife to use as a home protection gun when I'm gone overnight on hunting or fishing trips, but I think I might have to put that one in the safe and buy her another one that shows some wear!!
I picked this up Friday...

Colt Single Action chambered in 41 Colt that was shipped to Tompkins Hardware Company, address unavailable, on September 30, 1892. However, based on my research the “Shipped To” location might have been Leadville, Colorado.

Combat Commander in 9mm

One of my favorites..
Question, though: 3 shots in 3 seconds? Why did it take so long?:D 1911's can run even faster....way faster....

Engraved SAA from Nutmeg Sports, Jim Alaimo ivory, Jerome Harper engraver; slick action job as well, with antique nickel finish. Very impressed with their work!

Latest Colt

Hello Guys,

I am new here. This is my latest Colt and my only Colt. I have enjoyed playing with S&W, M&H, and any nice condition antique arms.

This Model 1851 Navy was purchased from William "Bill" Gibson in 2009. It was passed down in his family and he took ownership in 2001 when his Dad, James Cunningham Gibson, passed.
His Grandad was William H. Gibson
His Great Grandad, James Cunningham Gibson who was married to Elizabeth Puryear Gibson
Elizabeth was the daughter of Elizabeth Ann Clingman Puryear, the sister of CSA Brigadere General Thomas Lanier Clingman.

The serial number is 58148 and all the numbers match.
