IMO, and I am in NO means whatsoever anything more than a novice when it comes to Winchester trench guns. I was looking to buy one of these several years ago and was able to view four or five from a private collection. It has been awhile, but the things that raise a red flag to me are the take down pin, and the stamp on the receiver. None of the ones I looked at had the take down pin. Also the stamp, as I remember, was on the left side of the receiver. The one in your photos also looks like it was hand stamped/engraved. It is crooked and the "S" looks really wonky to me. Also the heat shield wear and tear don't match the rest of the gun's finish. I hope that others will chime in, but if it was me, I would give a wide berth to this one if you are looking to buy.
