you made a good point with the sun. basically all the other windows in my house have things in front of them making photo taking a hassle. So to get the sunshine for good photos, all the picture taking has to be done in the morning. The windows on the front side, where the sun is in the afternoon, don't get the sunshine because of the porch roof, and the sunshine, that natural light is one thing that makes these photos taken in "Hopalong Format"Gotta have a place with sun coming in too! There's nothing quite like the fear of watching the gun slip and wondering if the window edge scratched it up! There are small Lucite stands you can purchase to prop the gun.With a narrow window sill you have to prop the gun up against the glass and hope it doesn't slip and fall before you can take the picture

You and Hopalong should consider yourselves lucky. At least you have windowsills to photograph your pretty toys on
Or you could just start collecting Jennings', Ravens, or other small pistols that would fit
