Just bought a Woodsman serial number 23xxx. I just test fired and I's really impressed with the quality and accuracy demonstrated by this gun. The gun came with coltwood grips and two grip adapters: do I need to worry about preserving the old plastic? If I shouldn't use the originals who sells replacement grips and aftermarket magazines. Thanks for the answers in advance,

Coltwood stocks do have a tendancy to shrink and warp. I don't know of any cheap aftermarket stocks suitable for the Woodsman, however there are fine stockmakers who are more than willing to do the job- I recommend Roy Fishpaw of Lynchburg Virginia.
