A good period training film that teaches the fundamentals of combat shooting the 1911a1 platform.

And I like those tracers they're using for training...instant feedback on trajectory and hits on target.

Streak 45 Auto...230 Grain JHP

I slipped two in an 8 round mag to try them out when I picked up a few boxes at a gun show...a non-incendiary round. Worked well...out of my Auto Ordnance 1911a1.

Hmmm.... that Fig. 15a looks like the technique that Dirty Harry used in firing his .44 Magnum that is often mocked.
Maybe Clint read Fairbairn's book ?

I had DVR'ed Martha MacCallum's program about Iwo Jima, and her book, only to have find out it was preempted by POTUS arriving in India.
But there was a clip of pistol practice and it looked to me like the pistols being used were Colt Woodsman.

There is another film out there showing some OSS trainees being trained by Fairbairn which shows Fairbairn shooting with tracer ammunition.
