I have a 1979 not found on the computer site from Colt but when i called Colt they could look it up easily. Kind of odd.

 

Same thing for my 1980 44 Special.

My New Frontier doesn't show up on Colts sight.(serial-lookup). It was mad in 1981. I am starting to think someone just forgot to upload the data.

I believe proofhouse is a much more accurate site to look up serial numbers compared to the colt site. Somebody will correct me if I’m wrong.

 

The Colt website doesn't have 3rd generation SAA numbers as I recently found. You can call them and they have it.
