Bisley - What do you think of this one?

I took a chance with it by valuing it at $1k in a three firearm purchase including a SA 3rd Gen and an original 8”Anaconda.

What do you think? I am 100% ok with criticism. If I’m an idiot….please do not hold back. Please let me know because I do not know a single thing about Bisley and bought this to get the deal done.

Thank you.

I keep returning to look at the Bisley photos. It's seriously the type of gun that appeals to me, if only from a visual standpoint. This level of finish loss, which suggests that the gun was actually used for something, has been a point of interest for me as long as I can remember. While I can appreciate NIB or ANIB guns, they very seldom hold my interest. But I can look at guns like this Bisley all day long.

I started reloading in the early 1980's after telling my wife it was an initial investment that would save money in the long run. She went for it and as both of us were accountants, it made sense and still does. But, it's more than that. It's an extension of the hobby, gives you great flexibility in ammo types and loads. You can get started with a single stage set up from Lee or RCBS at a reasonable price. I eventually went to a Dillon 550 when I started shooting in competition. You simply can't afford (unless you're wealthy) to buy ammo for practice and matches. Shop around for a used press, some dies and a few other items (scale, caliper, etc) and you're on your way to a lot of fun.
