Hi, anyone have any info on this rifle? It's advertised as a "LE6920 with a 11" Troy hand guard with Troy flip up sights". A search, states that this is the new FBI rifle and styled as a limited edition, regards, Mike

Colt AR15 LE6920 FBP1
This is a picture of Colt model LE6920 FBP1 with Troy Industries Alpha 11" one piece free float modular rail system from Clyde Armory (GA).
Clyde Armory is a large law enforcement supplier and they're available from them now for $1,195.95.
I just heard about this FBI new rifle configuration last January from another AR site, and the configuration of the FBP1 is the Troy Alpha 11" rail system with Troy folding front and rear sights.
The Troy Alpha rails usually comes with two 2" and one 4.2" detachable short rails with all mounting hardware, I'm not sure if Clyde Armory supply those accessories.
From what I read these rifles usually are equipped with Aimpoint Micro H-1/ H-2 red dot optics for agent issued weapons but Aimpoint Micro T-1/ T-2 optics for elite units.
I even saw a picture from an elite agent with different forward angled grip, pistol grip and stock, the forward angled grip is a Mako PTK instinctive pointing foregrip, the grip is an Ergo, and the stock is a Magpul STR (with locking lever and storage).
If they're no longer available you could just DIY clone it with a Colt LE6920 OEM2, Troy Alpha 11" rail, Troy folding sight set, and a M4 waffle type buttstock (or any grip and stock that you like).

Good choice with the Colt AR, the factory makes different models in different times of the year so it is like feast or famine, and guns are hot right now because of terror threats, gov possible ban, election year, etc, the gun factories can't keep up with the very high demand.
Sorry that your first Colt AR in the 1970s was not to your liking, my first ever centerfire rifle was a new Colt AR-15 Sporter SP1 with the same look as the Army's M-16A1 except it had no forward assist, I got it new in 1971 for a whopping $200 back then. It was my 3 years of saving from odd jobs, part time jobs and gifts from my family.
I was always into guns since I was a small kid, my father was a WW2 Army 11th Airborne veteran and I used his .22 bolt action rifle, and my .177 and .20 caliber pellet air rifles, a couple of years before I got my AR I was using his Colt Python, 1911 Gov't model .45, Browning Hi-Power 9mm, a very old beat up WW2 Walther P-38 9mm, S&W .22 LR target pistol, and Ruger .22 LR bull barrel target pistol.
My first Colt AR SP1 rifle was pretty good, it is so different than my father's, uncle's and my hunting rifles that's why I got attracted to it, also watching the movies and TV about the military.
In the early 70's .223 ammo was hard to find I could only get the more expensive imported Norma ammo but it was very accurate, I could group at 100 yd about 1" to 2", when there is a new Colt AR model I sold my old worn rifle and get the new model, so 45 years since my first AR I'm still at it because of the constant improvement of the AR platform.
I got my only one USGI M1 Garand (1950s Korean War made by International Harvester) from the DCM/ CMP back in 1986 and I used my new model then '86 Colt Sporter HBAR (heavy barrel) rifle for my first DCM rifle match which was a requirement to purchase the M1 Garand Rifle.
I was surprised I did very well on my first DCM match, I got 20th place out of 400 contestants during a 2 day weekend, maybe because I was also competing in NRA pistol and IPSC - USPSA combat pistol matches with a couple of years experience.
A long time ago past by since my first DCM match and I still remembered it was not perfect for me, I had two failure to feed on my second magazine load, first failure was the prone 600 yd then the second jam was the second prone 600 stage, I cleared both quickly and finished all my shots (rapid fire) before the cease fire, found out later I had a bad Colt 20rd mag.
Currently I have 5 Colt AR and one non Colt which is a Rock River Arms (RRA) commercial model 9mm carbine (but I will replace it later with a Colt 9mm carbine).

Hi AR15-1911, I picked up my rifle Saturday. It has the 3 rails you mentioned ,2 short one longer w/attachment screws and allen key. It also came with a cleaning kit, sling ,2 magazines and a sling. It came with an attached sling holder in the butt w/o front sling swivel, which I found different. It weighs 6.5 lbs. and has a 7.5 lbs. trigger. I either am used to heavy triggers or Colt did a nice job because it's not a bad trigger and I think it will improve with cleaning and use. I am going to wait for a break in the weather so I can shoot it I'll report back. I've got some 62gr. NATO and some 55gr. to see what it likes. I assume it will be the 66gr. but I've been fooled before, regards, Mike
Hi, I finally got a chance to shoot my Colt. I tried 2 different loads LC Federal XM193, 55gr. and Danish AMA 62gr (their green tip style). My rifle liked the 62gr giving me 1.5 inch groups of 5 while the 55gr gave me 2.5 inch groups. I also tried Pmags ,gen3 and Brownells' metal magazines with Magpul 2nd gen. followers. No misfeeds jams or bobbles of any kind. I'm happy with the Colt and it shoots great. The Danish ammo comes in a plastic sleeve and a funky plastic stripper clip. It surprised me that clip worked easier than the metal ones. I was using a StripLula tool as the metal GI guide didn't fit the plastic clip. A good time was had by all but I'm not selling my M1 Garand,
