Looks to me like someone bead blasted the frame. Heaven only knows why. I doubt very strongly it left Colt looking that way.Looking at a Colt Cobra, at a local gun shop. She's stated to be a 1962, two tone aluminum frame and blued cylinder. I can't find this variation in any books, Is she legit? View attachment 757387
Maybe you should change your handle to BluesmanMy Colt Cobra. I am deciding if I can keep it or not. Arthritis in my hands getting pretty bad.View attachment 768006 View attachment 768006

I’ve been dealing with the same issue. I’m dealing with it though by reloading my own and loading them to the minimum safe loads. I use the Hogue rubber grips and load 125gr Berry’s plated bullets with Accurate Nitro 100NF at minimum to near minimum loads. I find fast powders and light bullets give less recoil. My Colt Cobra. I agree completely. This "special run" hit all the checkmarks for me;Nice looking...better than the standard stainless version. All Colt would need to do is make a run in that finish with the original design exposed ejector rod and they would sell out in a heartbeat. TALO...Davidsons...are you listening?
