Just took ownership of a Colt M4 Carbine was going to look up the mfg date via the colt website and when I put in the serial number I get no search results. Any thoughts?

All I can find is it is made 1994 or after.

The Colt serial number data base on the site is "A work in progress", and newer numbers often aren't listed.
Usually if you remove the handguards the date made is stamped near the front sight base under the guards.
This is possibly a barrel date but should be pretty close to the actual production date for the rifle.
