I think you are correct , custom done as barrel legend is acid or laser etched.

 

Do you think the barrel was made in the present time?

 

Front sight looks unusual, almost like its banded. I dont think its a Colt barrel

This is the barrel address on a high condition M1889, and it is vastly different.

 

Yes....yours is the correct barrel marking....roll-marked! Not acid etched into the long barrel.

 

thanks for opinion. i have seen on internet many different inscriptions, I mean small differences.
On the other hand, custom-made production of one piece must have been extremely expensive. The production of the sign made the matter even more expensive.

It's an interesting revolver but the use of it would be a problem. Ammo is expensive and hard to find. The revolver is worked on by no one and the mechanism is fairly fragile. No parts are available. I would letter it and put it in a conspicuous place for display.

 

It looks to be in very good condition. I plan to shoot short Colt cartridges with black powder. I expect high accuracy from such a long barrel. I can't just look at this weapon and caress it I have to shoot it.

I still can't find any information or photo of a barrel of the same length on Google.
it can gardly be so unoque...

 

41 Short Colt is hard to find too - Letter it and I bet the barrel length is something that was added by a previous owner.
