My latest find is a Police Positive form 1914 in .32 Colt. Late for this caliber. It's a nice high condition example right at the end of the high polish blued finish. This only blemish is a spot on the right side of the barrel near the muzzle. I don't have very many Police Positives, but when I saw the condition of this one, I just had to buy it. Nothing looks as good as a Colt high polish blued finish.

Here is a historical Police Positive 38 not often seen. It's the precursor to the Bankers' Special, a 2-inch barrel Police Positive 38, special ordered by the Post Office for the Railway Mail Service on April 9, 1928. The order was for 1500 of these revolvers to arm the mail clerks on the RPO cars of mail trains and passenger trains of the era with a lightweight, 38 S&W caliber revolver. Most were destroyed around 1992 and we only know of 3 of these rare revolvers to exist as of this date. The one pictured is in very nice condition for a RMS gun and must have been "liberated" early in its life. I'm not the best photographer but I hope you enjoy the pictures of the gun the rode the rails protecting the mail.

Well I found this Police Positive in .38 Special. Pretty bad shape when I got it. Pitted rust on most of the barrel and a couple spots on the frame/side plate. Action was really good so I decided to "Fitz" it........
Bobbed the barrel and the hammer, cut the trigger guard. Checkered the top of the hammer. Polished out the rust spots on the frame/side plate as best I could. Then gave it to Dave Fink at Gunsite to finish the polish and re-blue. Came out pretty good IMHO.
