Not much to see as far as pics would go. Left side has 32 WCF Right side has jan 10 1971 is the last date. it is single action and has bone grips. It appears to be in very good shape everything is tight you can barely see the line on the cylinder it locks up in time no rattles. Any idea on the value of a weapon like this?

Are you sure this isn't 1871?

Tall You are correct on the date on the 2nd line being Jan 19 '75.
ColtsDad, Best I can tell it is in perfect condition although it is dated Jan 19 '75 which indicates that it is only 48 years old. I'm curious about the nickel plating and bone grips it is definitely not just a shooter.
'73 FLH I'm surprised you picked up on the 74ci not many do. I'm also surprised that I actually got the email address. Nice to hear back from someone with similar interest/knowledge.

Please post pictures. Most likely the patent date is 1875. Colt hasn't patented a new model of a single action in a hundred years that I know of. What is the serial number?

Tall that was exactly what I said until I looked at the bottom of the grips and you can see the core of the bone not where the marrow would be but the softer core next to the marrow. Even then it is tight still has 4 clicks does appear to of been refinished is chambered in a less desirable caliber but the grips really take away from the over all look of the weapon. Any idea what grip should of been on this weapon?

I believe refinished Colt SAAs will very a bit in value and of course it’s value is essentially what someone will pay. A somewhat big hit on value is if the lettering is hard to read. Is the top of the barrel readable? Without a letter, this gun could have started out as a blued gun. 32-20 in that time frame was very popular but not so long ago, it might have been the least desirable SAA chambering in 1 generation guns. Your gun is in the shooter category and currently 32-20 ammunition is hard to find and if found, very expensive such as $100 a box of 50 or more. The stocks don’t appear to be real and detract from the gun.
I am not trying to find find everything negative I can find in your gun but just what SAA collectors will point out as they will point out on your gun. It’s still a Colt SAA and a piece of history.
As to value, if put on an auction site for less than 1K, like say $800, it will get some bids and MAY get up to $1200 plus or minus $200.
This might not be what you want to hear but most buyers of your gun will trade or sell it when a better example becomes available.
