Colt Police Positive Special Grips

Are the grips on a Police Positive Special different from those on a Police Positive and if so, how do you tell? I have a PPS with some cheesy after market grips and I wish to buy some Colt wooden grips for it. Its a 3rd issue PPS made in the last 60's. Thanks

stocks for any post 1966 d-frame will fit your gun.i.e. dective/s, cobra, agent, d/back. i would think the gun came with extension type sq butt stocks but the rnd will fit. i have several pr. of rnd stocks if you cant find the sq.

You rally haven't said if the gun has a round or square butt steel frame,and if the grip frame goes the full length of the wooden grips???

This will make a big difference!

The 2 on eBay; 1 is for the older style with full length grip frame and a square butt. The other is for a rounded butt,which most later Police Positive Specials in the time frame you mentioned were. But if the metal grip frame is shorter than the stocks,you will need the type that have extensions underneath the grips.
