$1200-$1400 with one like that, look unfired, is it? Box? All that affects price.

Anyway, that's about ballpark for what I see on Auction Sites for Asking-Price. You might go to Gunbroker or Auction Arms and put in selection under Search Box that'll show past auctions and what they actually sold for.

Create an account and Log in. Under the search button, there is a link to Smart search. Put in "Python 4" " and go to the drop down menu:

Show Only completed requires Sign In

Select: Completed auctions

Then hit the search button.

You should be good to go.

I bought a Colt Python 1966 4" Monday.

How much do you guys think it's worth?

That's why I don't buy NOS, unfired, etc. Colts -- they were made to shoot, and they do it so well that I'd HATE not being able to shoot 'em.

Ok, maybe my old eyes are playing tricks on me.

Why does the first picture look like the barrel is bulged just past the frame?

 

That's another good reason for shooting a gun; in case there's an issue you pick it up and can do something about it vis a vis warranties or actions to recover funds from seller. Best to find out now if it's OK, not 10 years from now.

(Just a general note - not because I think your gun has a problem)

 

How do you clean the outside of it?

I used a winchester cleaning cloth, and it looked like the blue finish was running after I used it.

 

Flitz or Wax products. You can find several discussions on this subject by using the Search Function. Type in "Flitz".

 

Thank you kind sir, I went to Home Depot, and bought Johnson Paste Wax, and some soft cotten clothes to apply it with.
