Before I'd start sending rounds down range, I'd try to see just how many of that model they pushed out first. That's much nicer than the bazillion 6920 offerings they did, where it was basically just a different color or manufacture of stocks/etc.

The coverings on the one I just got say Knights Armaments. There are only 3 covers on mine. There is not one on the top. Is there supposed to be 4?

Can that front side swivel be rotated around for a leftie like me?

 

Cool, thank you. I believe it is Knight’s. I will confirm once it arrives next week. I will also see if I can get production numbers. I did read sone conflicting info on this release regarding the rail and also the magazine that comes with it - steel versus now magpul. Since only 1 left, I rolled the dice.

The lower receiver features PROPERTY OF THE US GOVT, M4A1 CARBINE, and CAL. 5.56 MM. The barrel is a true SOCOM 14.5 heavy barrel with the iconic M203 flats under the Knights Armament Rail System. Extended flash hider has been pinned and welded to achieve a non-NFA length of 16.1

Shooting it some won’t hurt it. How collectible can a Colt AR of mass make become? Unless it’s 1 of 50 or something I don’t think it’ll diminish it much.

 

How many millions has Colt made? Rarity is not an issue. Any extra value is placed on them by someone who wants just that one...not just one of many.

 

The US property markings and the KA rail are not nearly as easy to find as a "normal" Colt AR rifle. It does seem they have released a batch if not putting this into normal production. Also for those wondering according to the product description this particular version does have the KA rail.

 

I have to say, these are pretty cool. For my tastes, it's the perfect length as well.

 

These Colt M4A1 SOCOM barrel profiles are some of the most accurate out there. Google around and see some of the tests. This is one where you really can't go wrong. This is perhaps the best Colt offering out there right now.

Yeah, mine has that. Not much I can do about it.

 

Not a big deal by any means, it's more of an issue for people like me in states with unjust 'laws' where that makes permanent flash hider backs you into a legal corner with only 1 route of compliance from that point on. But i digress, it's not worth delving into on here. Enjoy your rifle!

 

I put the box up in the attic but I'll get a couple pics of the receiver. I think it was made in Oct 2023. That date is on one of the bags wrapping it.

 

These rifles are pretty much non-existent now. The LGS had one of the wall back in October that I should've bought, but I let it go. Now that I truly want one, every single store online is sold out. Gunbroker is slim pickens as well.

They get produced in periodic batches. The LE6920SOCOM is one of Colts best selling products. They are constantly in demand. You may just have to wait a month or two to get one outside of Gun Broker. Call Arms Unlimited in Henderson, NV they often have stock that isn't on the website.
