I'm sure a lot of members here are members there also. Haven't been able to access the site in the past week. Screen just has a blank blueish hue.
Really? That one (Smith And Wesson ForumsI've been banned there multiple times. Apparently the concept of being Gestapo wannabes is lost on them...no sense of humor at all.![]()
It is running fine, you mostly likely need to delete your browsing data. They made a change awhile back and it seems to bring on the blue screen more often. If you have a thread bookmarked you may be able to get through that way and find more info as many have asked about it in the past, including me.I'm sure a lot of members here are members there also. "I absolutely LOATHE the layout in format and colors.".Simply put - too much hassle for limited reward for me.
I absolutely LOATHE the layout in format and colors.
Thanks everybody for the replies! Yes there are two Smith & Wesson forums and I was referring to the blue one. I will try this solution to see if it solves my problem. I too have incurred a couple of infractions on the forum. It is running fine, you mostly likely need to delete your browsing data. No doubt. The manner in which I absorb/perceive computer pages has me taking it in as staggering overload with VERY LITTLE information or valued content on any given, viewed screen."I absolutely LOATHE the layout in format and colors.".
I thought it was just me.
A virtual riot of blue and purple and yellow,
and badges and motto's and emoties.
gack.
I am pretty sure that this thread has been about the Blue forum. The other one is pretty laid back in comparison.Gentlemen, Just to Clarify but there are Two Smith & Wesson forums. There is the Blue forum
that is Smith & Wesson Forum, Then there is the other "friendlier" Smith & Wesson Forums with an S. Both blogs seem to share membership back & forth. As a matter of fact I am a member of both forums and find that there is a lot of duplication of posts. But what the heck we're there to share information and our common love of all guns.

I agree that the forums on arfcom can be way more than I care to deal with however their EE - classifieds is the best that I am familiar with on any other gun forum. That alone makes it worth being a member.….Sadly, that and the 'low-road' are just much too much; 'too much' for the return..... for me. Much like ARFdotcom. I can't be bothered to ratchet up coping for the limited return….
You just haven't gotten deep enough into it yet, that's all. You need to start a few threads about your prostate and your hemorrhoids. Then you can sorta segue over into discussions about your cataract-heart-back surgery and how badly your allergies are affecting you this time of year, and remember to mention your migraines. Don't forget to gripe about the price of gas and how disrespectful the "younger generation" is. When you get through with that, ask a few legal questions, or about which car/truck you should or shouldn't buy. You'll never lack for followers and your "like" count will rise like your mama's biscuits. It works for me but the interface is horrible. It seriously needs an update to the formatting.
I just never really got anything out of it.
I hate to admit I agree with anything about that forum, but the subject of the internal lock was beaten to death years ago, but it keeps rising from the dead for another go 'round. Plus, you just don't seriously criticize S&W unless you just want to get suspended. But the internal lock topic ranks right up there on the Beat-To-Death List with Best Bear Guns?, Best Bear Gun Caliber?, Which is Better, .45ACP or 9mm?, or Concealed Carry vs. Open Carry. The list of mundane topics discussed on that forum, especially in their "Lounge", is almost endless. Thank goodness we don't have that B.S. on this forum. And besides, we all know the Smith & Wesson revolver is the greatest development in the history of firearms manufacture, don't we? Seriously, they have that in writing somewhere on that forum in the midst of all the statements and rules and whatever. Don't get me wrong. Some of those guys are genuinely nice guys, and others are extremely knowledgeable and willing to share their knowledge. Some of the nicest guys I ever met were at the SWCA symposiums. If you really want to get a rise out of the moderator, criticize the lock on S&W revolvers. He seems to absolutely think they are the best thing that Smith ever did....but if you are a contributor, then you can say anything you want.....
Glad that you're here, Red. I enjoy reading all your posts about gunleather.I've had to give up posting there altogether, with even their top man dinging me for being disrespectful. I do appreciate that people's comments can become unwelcome and on my blog (a blog is nothing like a forum) it is read-only because of that. What's good for the goose, etc. On the other hand I'm the leading expert in the world on gunleather so folks ought to be able to tolerate a little foolishness on my part; how did the hair coloring ad go, "I'm worth it"? Anyhoo, I respect their opinion and stay off their forum altogether now. My favourite member over there is now President of SWCA so is entitled to his views not being my own.

One can always hope.Has the Smith-Wesson forum disappeared
