I may be trading my 1978 6" Blue Python Shooter (and a couple dollars) for this 1976 Nickel 4". Trying to get some better pics but what do you all think on first look? I will post new pics when he sends them to me!

Does a Nickel Python have an N stamp under the grip?? My Nickel Lawman and Trooper both have an N stamp!!!

Wrong stocks, finish is hard to assess due to glaring and angle of pictures but looks scratched and worn around the rear sight and general handling scratches on frame and barrel. The downside of nickel is that it won't take kindly to aggressive polishing. If you bring that nickel down too far to copper, you hosed your finish.

Just remember, 6in python: perfect pistol. If the nickel gets a speck in it it usually gets bigger. I have always thought the 6in python looked just right

A nickel Python would have an N stamped on the frame under the Grips correct? My nickel Lawman and Trooper have an N stamp on them!

Eddie to answer your question about the stamp.Yes there should be an "N" stamp on the left side of the grip frame.D*

I don't think it's a great trade for you. I'd hold onto the blue shooter. Nickel is kind of a pain in the butt
