Yeah, they look real, but the left side looks to be a blonde and the right side looks almost multi colored.
They do look factory correct though.

Looks like different flash levels and a slight difference in the white balance to me.

 

The set of grips that came on my Python (DOB 67') a fairly light colored compared to many I've seen. But mine don't have the bit of stripping that the one side has on this set.

 

Near the end of production of the original types of Colt target grips, the color got lighter and lighter.

I've seen some later versions that were blond or a strange orange-blond.
It was along about then that you also started to see grips with defects and mis-fit corrected with a tan colored patching material.

 

Uch. I assume that was just quality control slipping?

Did colt usually make the grips themselves?
