Seems like everyone offers a 2 inch 22 revolver. I had suggested to Colt after they offered the King Cobra Target, to offer a standard 2 inch Cobra in 22 lr. It is time for them to offer it
Don't know what Colt or any manufacturer has in the works, but I doubt I'd buy anything new, so can't contribute my thoughts. How about a 75 year old H&R 923 2-1/2", 9 shot. It's a rarer SA/DA model...it's my only short barrel .22Discussion about that just tonight. Future unknown but there are passionate advocates for a 2.5” or 3” .22. I’m one of them..
I had spoken to Lipseys, and suggested at least a limited run of 22 lr 2 I h Cobras. There’s already all the parts except a 22 fixed sight barrel. Sales rep thought it was a good idea and will present to the higher ups. What I would like combined with what I think will actually sell in volume:
King Cobra .22 in 2.5 or 3”, which ever allows the use of a full length ejector rod.
King Cobra .22’s in “blue”.
King Cobra in .22 magnum
Python, more “blued” options.
Anacondas in .45 Colt.
Anacondas in “blue”.
I think the big announcement at 2025 SHOT will be the new blued 4.25" Python with 2-vent ribs.![]()
I’d much prefer 45Maker’s dream come true! I’m definitely in for a blued 2.5 inch Python. What you are gonna see for 2025 are blue Pythons in 2.5 and 3 inches and stainless Anacondas in .45 Colt, that is for sure..
Who engraved that SAA? More pics to share? Please and thank you!I appreciate that colt continues the production of SAA, although currently very limited. Their liability/legal department must lie awake at night staring at the ceiling in fear of the safety police. I recently reviewed the SAA manual; They all but say to never shoot it.
