Well appears the new 22 Cobra shares the same serial numbers as the latest Pythons......the one on GB that sold was also an RA 287276

liked the first one so much, had to have a backup. Softest shooting 4” .357 I’ve ever fired, with old Colt-supplied Pachmayr grips at least. Adding the new Wilson Combat sight-sets to both.

I bought 3" RA340301 about a month ago. Sent it back to Colt for some bad machining on the barrel rib. They said they scrapped it and sent PY 277404 in its place. 11/29/22 date. I got it Friday. Ran about 200rds through it Saturday.

I'm shocked I didnt notice it before purchase. I was pretty excited about finding a 3" a mile from my house and just overlooked it. Colt made it right so I am happy. I would have been happy if they just rebarreled it, I was a bit suprised they scrapped the gun, supposedly.
If you ever send a gun back to them dont expect a whole lot of communication. I got an email that the gun was being shipped back, it was less than a week that I sent it to them. In the email was a copy of the packing list and I noticed the serial wasnt the same. I called them thinking they sent me someone else's gun. After being put on hold three or four times between questions they finally told me the scrapped my Python and were sending me a new one. Kind of wanted the RA serial number but I guess a straight gun is better.
