I like them a lot but typically when I see something that grabs my fancy it's way out of reach.
Yeah the consignment guns, the consignor usually wants market and then Simpson has to tack their fee on top...
The good deals I've gotten from them are mostly things out of their normal wheelhouse, like a US Model 96 signal pistol. Probably the best deal I ever got was a pair of Colt 1908 Hammerless magazines for $100, one of which was a really nice "M" marked. Don't expect to find a Luger or P.38 at bargain prices LOL. Although they had a decent post-war P.38 on there today for $500.
When you call to purchase, the representative will go and pull the gun out of inventory and walk you through any questions you might have. Fast shipping (although a tad expensive) and always packed well which is important! Oh yeah, they are also very FFL-03/Curio & Relic-friendly which is nice.
An example of their import mark. They get A LOT of stuff from Germany, Sweden and Norway. Husqvarnas everywhere you look!
I bought this from 'em recently, and the sales rep went out of his way to keep telling me it had a lot of rust... I might have missed it otherwise LOL.
It's a mess but all-matched super-rare late Y-block Spreewerk with FN frame... more for a conversation piece than any collector value.
