Get a picture of the main spring housing, slide stop, barrel (around the lug), magazine, slide stop, hammer, and a good clear picture of the slide and frame. The clearer the better.

 

Colt's look-up site indicates this to be: "1944 model 1911 military". An archive letter would grant more info perhaps.

For a decent evaluation, as indicated above, photos would be your best bet in getting intelligent data.

 

That serial number block was assigned to Remington Rand and, as above, dates to 1944.
